Creative Direction
Interior Design Consultancy
The following studies have been developed using a selection of existing assets as a starting point to demonstrate how AMR Studio approaches design, identity and place-making.
These concepts are intended to illustrate a way of thinking rather than finished proposals, offering an insight into how design, culture, art and storytelling can contribute to the evolution of destinations, hospitality experiences and public environments across Oman.
Through these explorations, we seek to demonstrate the potential for creating places that are distinctive, culturally resonant and uniquely connected to Oman.
A Vision for Future Collaboration

Omani Majlis
Dining Concept
Al Bustan Palace
Inspired by the iconic setting of Al Bustan Palace, this concept was developed to explore a unique Omani dining experience within the hotel through atmosphere, heritage, and strong creative direction.
The vision was to create a majlis-style dining space incorporating traditional floor seating, copper trays, sculptural copper lighting, and interiors designed to feel carved from stone — almost cave-like in atmosphere — overlooking the landscape and coastline of Al Bustan. The intention was to create an immersive and memorable space that feels distinctive, atmospheric, and deeply connected to its setting.

China Mood
Al Bustan Palace
Creative Direction & Interior Design Consultancy
Concept by AMR Studio
This concept was created to demonstrate how AMR Studio could elevate China Mood at Al Bustan Palace while preserving its existing layout and architectural framework.
Through creative direction, interior decoration, and curated styling, the proposal explores how atmosphere, identity, and guest experience can be enhanced without major structural changes. Drawing inspiration from chinoiserie, lacquer finishes, Chinese textiles, decorative lighting, and collected objects, the concept introduces greater depth, intimacy, and character while remaining practical and commercially achievable.
The project reflects AMR Studio's belief that thoughtful creative intervention can transform the perception of a space while respecting its original architecture.

InterContinental Muscat ·
Palm Garden Courtyard
Palm Garden Lobby Concept — InterContinental Muscat
Few hotels occupy such an important place in Oman's modern history as the InterContinental Muscat. Opened in the 1970s, its monumental architecture, generous scale and enduring presence have made it one of the country's most iconic hospitality destinations.
This concept reimagines the hotel's great hall as The Palm Garden Café, inspired by the glamour, optimism and flamboyance of 1970s hospitality design, reinterpreted for a contemporary audience. Drawing upon the romance of Omani garden courtyards and desert tents, the scheme introduces lush palms, bamboo furnishings, layered textiles and warm desert tones to create a vibrant social destination within the heart of the hotel.
The intention was not to reinvent an icon, but to celebrate its legacy and restore a sense of occasion to one of Oman's most memorable interior spaces.
This project is presented as a conceptual study showcasing the creative vision and design approach of AMR Studio.
