Amr Ali is an interior designer, creative director, and artist whose career bridges fashion, art, and interiors. Educated in Interior Design at Chelsea College of Art, London, Amr began his career in design under the mentorship of the legendary Nicholas Haslam, one of Britain’s most celebrated interior designers. His early training instilled an appreciation for refinement, proportion, and the layered histories that shape timeless interiors.

In parallel, Amr apprenticed at Sotheby’s Auction House in the department of Modern & Contemporary Art, where he deepened his knowledge of art history, collecting, and the international art market. This grounding in both interiors and art would later form the foundation of his unique practice — combining spaces, objects, and collections into singularly refined narratives.

In 2000, Amr launched Bodyamr, the first Arab luxury fashion brand to achieve international acclaim, stocked in Colette, Paris and worn by global icons such as Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Kim Kardashian, and Kylie Minogue. British Vogue dubbed him “fashion’s best-kept secret”, and LVMH recognized him as “one to watch.”

In 2016, Amr returned to his roots in interior design with the founding of AMR Studio — a boutique consultancy specialising in interiors, art curation, and design advisory. Based between Muscat, Dubai, and London, AMR Studio is defined by a philosophy of cultural depth and refinement: each project is curated over time, with rare, collectible pieces and handmade objects that elevate homes into legacies.

Amr’s interiors are informed by his Arab heritage and his London training — a blend of old-world atmosphere and contemporary sophistication. His work is as much about narrative as it is about design: rooms are created as experiences to inhabit, not just spaces to decorate.
